Slip accident moving heavy weight results in Accident Claim

Filed under: Accident at Work Claim — admin @ 10:06 am

If you suffered an accident involving moving or lifting a heavy weight, that was not your fault, an accident claim for injuries may be possible.

Here at the Accident Advice Bureau we recently accepted such a claim. The client was employed as a civil engineer and was working with a co worker, there were only two of them on site at the time of the work accident.

They had to get a ‘nut cracker’ out of the van to do their job working on underground pipes. The nut cracker weighed approx 90 kgs and very heavy. As they were getting the nutcracker out of the van the co worker slipped on the ground and dropped it. This suddenly gave our client all of the weight causing him to slip and fall out of the works van. He landed awkwardly twisting his right knee.

The employee was wearing his work supplied safety boots at the time and the accident which was recorded in the accident book.

Our client visited his doctor who diagnosed a knee injury and was referred to hospital who said he had suffered a torn cartilage in the knee.

If you have suffered a similar accident involving lifting or moving heavy weights a heavy weight accident at work claim may be possible with our help. All work claims are worked on a no win no fee basis and you will receive 100% of any injury compensation awarded.
