Injured on an aeroplane claim

Filed under: Accident Claim — admin @ 9:17 am

If you have been injured whilst travelling on an aeroplane and you believe the accident was not your fault, then an injured on an aeroplane claim may be possible with the help of the Accident Advice Bureau.

Most of the more frequent accidents that occur, whilst passengers are travelling on an aeroplane, are preventable. Some of these include trip hazards left in the aisle causing someone to fall or air stewards/stewardesses spilling hot drinks on their passengers resulting in a burn.

Some aeroplane accidents are less preventable, for example if the aeroplane suddenly experiences engine problems or if there are extreme flying conditions.

There has been an event already this year, which has resulted in all airports in the UK to be closed resulting in no flights in or out of the region for safety reasons. This is as a result of volcanic eruptions taking place in Iceland.

The cloud of ash from the volcano, which has grounded all flights is moving southwards over the UK. The eruption ejected the plume, which consists of fine rock particles as high as 11km into the atmosphere. The ash cloud is now drifting as a result of high altitude winds. The altitude of the ash cloud is that which aircraft cruise at.

There have been previous events where aircraft have lost engines as a result of volcanic ash, resulting in loss of altitude. If ash particles are injected into an engine, they accumulate and clog the engine with molten glass.

So for this and other safety reasons all airports in the UK will be closed until the ash cloud have has moved away from our airspace.
