Accident in a Public House

Filed under: Accident Compensation — admin @ 7:13 am

We are often contacted by people who have had an accident in a public house. A public house is somewhere you go to enjoy a drink or eat with friends or family, it is not somewhere where you should suffer an injury.

There are lots of ways in which you can be injured in a public house as an employee or a customer.

As an employee it could be you suffered an accident in the kitchen or behind the bar. The most common accident in these areas is due to a wet or slippery floor. If there is a hazard on the floor or it has been cleaned, a wet floor sign should be in place providing a warning.

If floors are left wet in a customer area, wet floor signs should also be in place. If as a customer you have an accident due to a faulty table or chair then a claim could also be possible.

However you may have had an accident in a public house as a customer or employee, the public house should have liability insurance to claim against.

If you are injured in a public house then you should record all the details in the accident book, report it to a manager and take any witness details.

In order to make a claim for injury compensation you injury needs to be diagnosed by a GP or a hospital.

If you are able to make a claim we will appoint you a specialist injury solicitor where your accident claim will be worked on a No Win No Fee basis. You will not be asked for any money at any time and you will receive 100% of the compensation awarded.
