College Accident Claims
College accident claims can be made by college staff, pupils or members of the general public if the college accident was due to negligence.
Attending a college should be safe. Often accidents are due to the floors being wet and slippery. In order to help prevent college accidents warning signs should highlight any slipping or tripping hazards.
We have accepted a college accident claim recently, where the tutor was injured as he slipped on leaflets which were lying on a highly polished floor. There was a leaflet dispenser behind a set of doors and leaflets were always being discarded or were falling from the dispenser onto the floor. When opening the door, leaflets were sliding on the floor causing a slipping hazard which wasn’t seen by the tutor. He slipped on the leaflets and caused a severe back injury resulting in months off work.
The dispenser has since been removed from the wall behind the door, taking the hazard away. Any college accidents should be logged into the college accident book and witness details also supplied if possible.
If you have suffered any kind of college accident which was not your own fault, and you believe the accident was due to the negligence of the college you may be able to claim injury compensation.
We would take a college accident claim on, using a specialist No Win No Fee injury solicitor. This gives the peace of mind of knowing that should the college accident claim be unsuccessful, there wouldn’t be any fees to pay. We also ensure that a college accident claim is paid at 100% of the injury compensation awarded, we will not make any deductions.
