Bus and Coach in horrific road accident

Filed under: Bus Accident Claims — admin @ 8:20 pm

In County Durham there has recently been a  horrific head on road traffic accident, where a bus and coach collided killing the bus driver and injuring four passengers. The accident happened on a small road which has a 30mph speed limit. The coach driver who suffered leg, head and chest injuries was airlifted to hospital in Newcastle. The passengers were described as walking wounded and were taken to North Durham hospital, except one who had a fractured hip and was taken to Middlesbrough by air ambulance.

It was said that the bus which operates a local service had passengers onboard, the coach was empty with the exception of the driver.

A workman was in the area and heard the bus and coach crash, went to see what he could do to help the injured drivers and passengers. The workmans clothes were covered in blood as he helped and waited for the emergency services to attend the scene.

It is not yet known if any traffic accident injury compensation claims are going to be made following the accident in the village.
