Woman cut free from car in County Durham after Car Accident

There was an incident on the 19th of November 2009 which involved a woman who was trapped in her car after a collision. The woman had to be cut free from her car by fire-fighters.

The traffic accident happened at approx 6.20pm, between a car and a light van near to the Hackworth Industrial Park, Shildon, County Durham.

Fire services from the neighbouring Bishop Auckland and Newton Aycliffe attended the scene along with the police and paramedics.

The fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the woman, who was then taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

The woman was diagnosed with neck and back injuries.
