Kitchen chip pan fire injures girl in St Helens
A chip pan fire in the kitchen caused injuries to a teenage girl on Wednesday. The accident in the St Helens area happened when the chip pan caught fire and the girl tried to remove it, burning her left hand. The paramedics attended the property and took the girl to Whiston Hospital.
The fire service attended the property in Foxwood, Rainhill. The fire caused extensive damage to the kitchen and was well alight when the fire service arrived. The rest of the property had extensive smoke damage. The fire service required breathing apparatus to attack the kitchen fire. The girl had got out of the property.
