Accident at work in a Pub claim

We have recently accepted a claim for injury compensation which involved a lady who was working in a pub when she suffered an accident, the lady asked for our help in making a pub accident at work claim.

It was mid day and the client was in the cellar changing a barrel. When she was walking up the stairs to leave the cellar, the 4th from bottom wooden stair snapped, causing the clients leg to drop in through the gap.

The stair was faulty before the accident, which the landlord was aware of, but failed to make any attempt to repair it.

The client went to hospital and suffered severe cuts to both her legs. The day after the accident all the stairs were replaced.

The client is now left with a scar on  her left leg approx 5 inches long, which she is very self conscious of and as a result will not wear short skirts or shorts. Two weeks after the accident the client lost her job.

If you have suffered an accident whilst working in a pub which you believe was not your own fault, then an accident at work in a pub claim may be possible.

Accident in a Pub, Club or Restaurant

Pubs, Clubs & Restaurants are where many people go to enjoy an evening or lunchtime out and do not expect to be injured in an accident.

The public should be safe at all times in these areas and the establishments have a duty of care to all who visit their premises.

Some of the causes of an accident in a Pub, Club or Restaurant are from slipping on a wet surface, or where food has been allowed to remain on the floor.

Any spillage should be cleaned up and if the floor remains wet and slippery, a sign warning people of the hazard should be put in place.

Pot holes in the grounds should be filled in and these are often seen in car parks.
