Injured by driver over the drink drive limit

Filed under: Car Passenger Claim — admin @ 11:26 am

There are strict drink driving limits in place in order to help make our roads a safer place. Over the Christmas and New Year period people often exceed legal limits on drinking alcohol and still drive their vehicles, which on occasions leads to an accident and injuries.

There has been a recent case involving a driver from Southmead, Bristol. The drunk driver crashed his car whilst he was three times over the legal alchohol limit. As a result he has been banned from driving for three and a half years.

Bristol Magistrates Court was told how the 67 year old drunk two pints of cider and a glass of wine and then went to drive his car to Southmead Hospital in order to pick up his wife.

His car was witnessed swerving in Greystoke Avenue before mounting a kerb and colliding with a flower bed and then coming to a stop.

On arrest he had 101 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit is 35. As well as being banned for three and a half years, the man was ordered to pay costs and remain at home at night under curfew for three months.

If as a driver or passenger you have been injured by a driver over the alcohol limit as a result of an accident you may be able to make an over the limit car accident claim.

Rear end car crash due to car skidding on ice

Filed under: Car Accident Compensation,Car Passenger Claim — admin @ 11:44 am

With all the bad weather and very low temperatures throughout most parts of the UK, many of the roads are very dangerous to drive on and with so many being closed, drivers in some areas are being told to only make essential journeys.

Traffic accidents due to a car being hit in the rear by another car which slides on ice, and looses control, are very common in these severe icy and snowy conditions.

The collision then often causes not only damage to the vehicles, but also to drivers and passengers who are already having a bad time of getting from one place to another.

It is when a traffic accident happens and innocent drivers and passengers are injured, due to a car accident on ice, that a claim for injury compensation is often made.

Any driver or passenger who suffers an injury due to a car sliding on ice and colliding into them, if the injury is sufficient, may claim for compensation. The majority of injuries we help people claim for following a non fault car accident are for whiplash, soft tissue injury and a back injury.

The injury suffered in the traffic accident will need to be recorded on medical records, therefore a visit to hospital or the doctors will be necessary.

If you have been injured in a car accident due to ice and snow, and you were not at fault, please contact us to see if a claim for compensation can be made on a no win no fee basis. All successful claims for car accidents on ice are paid out 100% of the compensation awarded.

Please contact us on 0845 10 88 333 or claim by clicking: Rear End Car Crash on Ice Claim.
