We recently accepted such a case where our client was at his girlfriends house enjoying a party. He went outside to say goodbye to a few people who were leaving the party in a taxi. As he had said goodbye to his friends in the taxi a few people approached him and asked if they could go into his girlfriend’s house and join the party, to which he said no. The clients girlfriend also joined him to make it clear to them they were not welcome in.
It was at this point that our client was hit with a bottle over his head and also with a metal bar over his face. As a result he was knocked unconscious in what was a totally unprovoked attack.
