Here at the Accident Advice Bureau we have successfully dealt with numerous taxi passenger injury claims, a recent example is as follows.

A disabled man was using a taxi which had been arranged by St Marys Hospital in Portsmouth. The man who has had half his left leg amputated and is being treated for blindness is also unable to grip things properly.

The taxi driver put the man who was in his wheelchair into the taxi, but failed to strap him in, the brakes on the wheelchair were on. The taxi driver drove round a roundabout at speed, causing the man to tip backwards in his wheelchair hitting his head on the window. The client managed to position his wheelchair up again and the driver then slowed down and told the disabled man to hold onto the window. Later in the journey the taxi driver was driving whilst using his mobile phone.

The accident was reported to the transport manager at the hospital who along with a nurse wrote a report and told the client that the driver should have strapped him in.

The client saw his doctor a few days later who diagnosed whiplash to his neck and shoulders. The taxi passenger asked for our help in making an accident in a taxi injury claim for compensation.

All such claims are worked on a No Win No Fee basis, where you will receive 100% of any injury compensation won, as long as you fully cooperate until the claim had concluded.
