An accident claim for compensation for injuries caused by a vehicle losing control due to oil on the road, and being involved in a non fault accident, may be possible.
There are many such cases where drivers of vehicles suddenly lose control of their vehicle as they didn’t see the oil spillage on the road. Often when they do see the oil, they apply the brakes and the vehicle skids across the road, crashing into another vehicle, pavement, trees or bushes. On occasions pedestrians are also injured in such accidents.
In these circumstances, the traffic accident and oil spillage must be reported to the police or the Highways Agency at the time of the accident.
We put claims for drivers and passengers injured due to oil on the road through the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB).
All oil spillage on the road accident claims which we handle are on a no win no fee basis, with maximum compensation being paid out to injured drivers or passengers on winning.
