An accident in a steam room should not happen to unsuspecting visitors enjoying some relaxing time. We were asked to handle an accident claim for compensation due to a member of the public being burnt in a steam room in a holiday park through no fault of their own.

The holiday maker was enjoying the parks facilities until she sat on the seat next to the steam outlet which she did not see, this was on the wall next to the seat. The steam didn’t have a guard on it and the steam shot out causing burns to the girls leg.

The accident in a steam room was reported to the holiday park and the girl needed medical attention to deal with the burns.

One of our personal injury claims solicitors accepted the claim for burns from the steam room and the case was successfully worked on a No Win No Fee basis.

If you have had an accident causing you to be injured in a steam room, sauna or spa through no fault of your own, then a claim for injury compensation could be possible with our help.

Upon winning the claim 100% of the awarded injury compensation will be paid out, should the claim be lost, you will not be asked for any money. All we ask for in return is full cooperation throughout the process.

Gym Injury Compensation Claims

Filed under: Sport Injury Claims — admin @ 10:32 am

A gym claim for injury compensation may be made if a gym has been negligent, and this has resulted in an accident, causing a personal injury.

Most of the time a visit to the gym will be an enjoyable time. On occasions a gym may act in a way which can put the health and safety of the public at risk.

Gym staff should be well trained in how to ensure a safe environment. Some of the gym claims we handle are due to slip or trip accidents. A trip accident in the gym could be over items such as matting which has been incorrectly placed by the gym staff, fitness equipment incorrectly placed by the staff or cables left lying around the floor.

Any accident in the gym should be reported to a member of the gym staff and logged in the accident book. In order to make a gym injury compensation claim, the injury must be sufficient to seek medical advice from the doctor or hospital.

If having suffered a gym accident and you are unsure if you can make a gym injury compensation claim, you can talk to our advisers.

A gym injury compensation claim that we take on will be handled by an injury solicitor who specialises in personal injury claims. A No Win No Fee agreement will be put in place. This gives you the peace of mind that if the claim should be lost, you will not be asked for any money. If the gym claim is won then 100% of the awarded injury compensation will be paid with no deductions.

Sport Accident Claims

Filed under: Sport Injury Claims — admin @ 3:35 pm

To avoid an accident compensation claim being made, when organising school sporting events in the gym, the teachers should ensure the area is clear from obstructions and therefore offer a safe environment for the class to participate.

One one occasion the class were playing basketball and left lying around on the side were some benches that were stacked up incorrectly causing a hazard. This always leaves the potential for a sport accident claim. One of the pupils playing basket ball was keeping his eye on the game, and going for the ball when he got nudged into the benches.

The benches caused a severe cut and leg injury to the pupil as they collapsed on to him. The pupil needed to go to hospital for stitches to the wound. The pupil also suffered ligament and tendon damage. The sport accident was recorded in the college accident book.

The pupil decided he wanted to make an injury compensation claim and contacted us. We put him in contact with a specialist No Win No Fee Injury solicitor.
