There are thousands of supermarkets across the county of which Sainsburys is one of the largest. When you shop at Sainsburys you should be able to do so safely. However if you do suffer an accident and are injured as a result, it may be possible to make an injured in Sainsbury’s accident claim with the help of the Accident Advice Bureau.

We have successfully dealt with numerous such claims, of where a recent example is described below.

Our client was shopping in Sainsburys wearing flat shoes which had a good grip on them. As she walked around the corner end of an aisle, in the chilled section, she slipped on the floor on a white crystallized substance and fell heavily on her side.

The accident was witnessed by a staff member who went to help the injured shopper. The member of staff told the shopper that the liquid looked like the substance used to  soak up water from the chillers. The substance covered an area of approx 1 foot in diameter. The accident book was filled in.

The lady saw her doctor who diagnosed a sprained left wrist and ligament damage to her right knee. To this day she is in severe pain and has shooting pains from her wrist up her left arm, pains to her right knee from where it was twisted, pain to her bottom and head. She asked for out help in making a claim for injury compensation.

All accepted claims are worked on a no win no fee basis where you will receive 100% compensation if the claim is won.

Injured on an escalator claim

Filed under: Supermarket Accident Claims — admin @ 8:52 am

There are thousands of escalators in all sorts of public buildings all over the country, for example, at work, shops (such as Tesco, Asda and Sainburys) and airports.

If you suffer an injury on a faulty escalator or travelator, then it may be possible to make an injury compensation claim, with the help of the Accident Advice Bureau.

Here at the Accident Advice Bureau we have successfully dealt with numerous such claims, a recent example of this involved a lady who was shopping with her sister in Asda.

Our client and her sister were coming down the escalator with their trolleys; our client was in front of her sister. She noticed that the wheel on her trolley was not working correctly whilst shopping in the store, but decided it was not bad enough to change it. When at the bottom of the escalator, the trolley would not go over the lip onto the floor, preventing the trolley from moving forward.

The lady quickly tried to move the trolley herself, but before she could her sister crashed into her whilst on the escalator. Her sister’s trolley hit her in the back with force, which caused her great pain.

The accident was witnessed by other shoppers. The next day the lady phoned the store manager who said the accident was recorded on CCTV and said there should have been a member of staff at the bottom of the escalator, but they were doing other things and offered no help.

The customer received a letter of apology from Asda and the letter stated that there would be a complete review of the escalators and how they operate them.

The lady, as a result of the accident, saw her doctor who diagnosed soft tissue injuries. The clients rib was also injured making breathing more difficult.

The lady asked for our help in making a claim for being injured on an escalator.

All escalator injury claims we accept are worked on a no win no fee basis and 100% injury compensation is awarded.

Slip on water Supermarket leads to injury compensation claim

Filed under: Supermarket Accident Claims — admin @ 8:54 pm

A slip in Tesco on water alongside a leaking freezer has lead to an injury compensation claim being made. The Tesco accident happened when a customer had gone shopping for a curry when he slipped on the puddle of water which had been scuffed along the floor by numerous customers walking in it. There were no wet floor warning signs in place and the slip accident on water was witnessed by friends.

The accident and injury was reported to the store, and an accident report form was filled in. The water was then cleared up by staff. The customer was told by a Tesco manager that they are experiencing leaks from some of the freezers.

The slip on water accident in Tescos caused the customer to fall heavily on his back and caused injuries to his back and his coccyx. This type of injury can make simple daily routines like standing, sitting and walking very painful.

All supermarkets have a responsibility to ensure the safety of customers and staff on their premises.

We handle claims of this nature on a no win no fee basis and on winning 100% of the awarded compensation is paid to the successful claimant.
