Accident at Work Claim for Tripping on a Pallet

Filed under: Work Accident Claims — admin @ 9:57 am

Accident at work claims, as a result of tripping on pallets are fairly common. Employers have a responsibliity to ensure that the works floor is kept clear of obstructions, which include slip and trip hazards, and therefore kept in a safe condition.

An accident at work claim for compensation has been successfully made recently, by an employee who suffered a trip accident at work on a pallet which had been left in a dangerous place by another worker. The other worker placed a pallet on the floor near machinery and the end of it was protruding out onto a walkway. The claimant did not see the pallet as he walked from one side of the machine he was working on to the other. This caused him to trip and as a result he suffered a back injury. Following the trip accident at work and a visit to the GP he had to take time off work.

As a result of making the accident at work claim, the claimant was awarded compensation for injuries.

We have many years experience in helping people make an accident at work claim for compensation. These claims through us are on a No Win No Fee basis and accident at work compensation is paid out on winning.

Accident at Work Compensation Claim for a Cleaner

Filed under: Work Accident Claims — admin @ 3:27 pm

Most people who go to work, do so to earn money and they do not expect to be injured in the process. An accident at work for a cleaner happened recently and we were asked to pursue a cleaner’s accident at work claim for her.

Our client was working in offices and had to empty bins as part of the job. The bins should have contained general waste and not have been overloaded with the incorrect equipment.

On this occasion one of the bins had a computer and monitor placed in it by another worker. This made the bin very heavy and as the cleaner went to lift it, it caused severe pain to her back. The accident was witnessed by another worker and management were informed of the accident and injury. The details were logged in the accident at work book.

On visiting the hospital and having an MRI scan, a prolapsed disk in the lower back was diagnosed. This has resulted in not only time off work but also making daily life extremely difficult.

Any accident at work for a cleaner which was not the cleaners own fault can result in an accident at work claim for compensation being made on a No Win No Fee basis. We have specialist No Win No Fee Solicitors who will fight hard to win the claims they take on and work for maximum compensation for their clients.

Upon winning the cleaner’s accident at work claim, injury compensation will be paid out.

Accident at Work Injured in Works Kitchen Claim

Filed under: Work Accident Claims — admin @ 10:20 am

If you have been injured in a work kitchen or have had any other accident at work outside of a kitchen, a claim for injury compensation may be possible. To be able to make a claim for an accident in a work kitchen, or outside, there must be an injury which was caused by the negligence of someone else.

Some of the claims for accidents at work we have handled, are for faulty kitchen equipment causing a slipping accident on the floor.

If the floor is wet and slippery, warning signs should be put in place to let staff and customers know of the slip hazard. If no signs are in place and there is an accident, the work could be liable and therefore a claim for injuries may be possible.

Items which have been faulty and caused accidents and injuries include dishwashers, sinks, leaking ceilings and blocked drains. If such items are faulty, the management should be made aware so they can make repairs as necessary. If the management are aware and fail to take the necessary action to fix the problem, and an accident happens, this would be grounds to make an accident at work claim for compensation.

Work kitchen accidents may also be avoided if the floor is cleaned regularly; this could stop the build up of grease which could form a slipping hazard.

Employees successful on winning work kitchen accident claims are paid injury compensation.

If you have been injured in a work kitchen and would like to know if a No Win No Fee solicitor could be used through us, please call 0845 10 88 333 or claim online by clicking: Accident at Work in the Kitchen Claim.

Accident at Work Injured on a Construction Site

Filed under: Work Accident Claims — admin @ 4:08 pm

Many workers are injured on a construction site and the injuries are as a result of someone’s negligence. Any worker who suffers an accident at work through the negligence of another person is entitled to make an accident at work claim for injury compensation.

Such a claim for being injured on a construction site which we have recently taken on involves a scaffold worker who was carrying scaffold in on the construction site, and walking on a designated pathway.

The pathway had been made of crushed concrete and this should have had all of the metal removed before it was put in place as the pathway.

The worker did not see the defect and his foot got caught in a loop of metal which was sticking up by approximately six inches, and he fell awkwardly causing a severe knee ligament injury. The accident was witnessed and logged in the accident at work book.

The worker went to hospital and has had several weeks off work as a result of his accident and injury.

Accident at work claims for injury compensation are paid as quickly as possible on winning the claim.

Bin Man Accident at Work

Filed under: Work Accident Claims — admin @ 9:30 am

There are a huge number of bin men employed around the country, who are responsible for collecting and disposing of our rubbish on a regular basis. The job is hard work and requires a certain degree of fitness as it is physical and you have to work quite quickly.

If you are a bin man and have suffered an accident at work which was not your own fault then a Bin Man Accident at Work Claim may be possible.

A recent case involving a bin man who pursued a Bin Man Accident at Work Compensation Claim is as follows.

A bin man has been compensated for tripping on an uneven pavement whilst carrying out his duties.

The defective pavement was badly maintained which caused the bin man to fall and land badly on his knee, the bin man not only injured his knee but also injured his elbow and shoulder and has since had to have two operations.

The bin mans injuries were so bad, he was unable to carry on in the same job. The job he does now involves driving which he says has impacted his family as it is lower paid.

He is not able to help his wife with caring for her disabled mother; he cannot now take his son swimming and is no longer able to play golf.

The bin man pursued a Bin Man Accident at Work Claim and won his claim for Injury Compensation. It was ruled that the council had failed to maintain the pavement sufficiently which resulted in the bin mans accident and the huge way it has affected his and his families lives was taken into account.

Claims for Fire Fighters

Filed under: Work Accident Claims — admin @ 7:38 am

Being a fire fighter is a heroic and dangerous job. All fire fighters should be commended for the work they do, which often leads to saving lives.  Fire fighters have stiff procedures which they have to adhere to at work to increase their safety.

A fire fighter recently made a successful Fireman Accident at Work Injury Compensation Claim.

The fireman was at a bungalow with co workers fighting a fire there. The fire was virtually extinguished when another fire fighter removed tiles from the roof and placed them onto an internal ceiling, so they could reach the fire from above.

The person in charge of the operation told the claimant that the ceiling was boarded and safe for him to enter the premises.

When the claimant entered the building the ceiling which should have been covered with floorboards was only covered with plaster board. As the plaster board was wet and was being weighed down with tiles, the ceiling collapsed.

The fire fighter suffered multiple injuries.

The fire fighter decided to pursue a Fire Fighter Accident at Work Compensation Claim. It was ruled that the officer in charge should have dismantled the ceiling and that the heavy tiles weighing the ceiling down, should never have been placed there.

The Fire fighter won his Fireman Accident at Work Compensation Claim.
