Child cycling accident causes injury after fall
In a child cycling accident, a boy is lucky to have escaped with fairly minor injuries which could have been much worse. The boys mother was thought to have been with him at the time of the accident.
The child cycling accident happened on Thursday when the boy who is thought to be 10 or 11 was cycling along a footpath in an area which is known as Dewsbury Scar. He then fell on the steep bank and landed on rocks which were fifty feet below.
The boy needed to be rescued by the fire brigade, other emergency services also attended the scene. The boy was then taken to Dewsbury Hospital with what was suspected to be a broken ankle due to falling.
A Dewsbury fire station spokesman said he was ” lucky not to have been in a worse state”.
Following the fall accident the boy was in severe pain and needed to be carried to the ambulance.
