A hotel accident compensation claim for a slip in the bathroom has been made by a lady who was injured in the hotel room. The lady and her husband had gone away for a week and she was having a shower before sitting down for dinner.

The hotel staff had put paper towels on the floor to act as a mat and there was no hand rail to hold onto when entering or leaving the shower. There was a towel rail situated at the end of the bath. As the lady got out of the shower, she steadied herself by using the towel rail, which then gave way and the paper towel on the floor also slipped causing the lady to slip and suffer injuries as a result.

The hotel staff were informed of the slip accident and the lady saw a doctor. The lady was soon after sent to hospital and was diagosed with a broken arm as a result of the hotel bathroom accident.

This type of accident and injury will totally ruin the enjoyment of spending time in a hotel and therefore there are grounds to make an injury compensation claim as the hotel has been negligent.
