Electric shock leads to injury compensation claim

Filed under: Housing Accociation Claims — admin @ 10:18 pm

An accident at home due to faulty electrics resulting in an electric shock, was the cause for an injury compensation claim being made by a lady who suffered injuries. The injured lady lives with her husband in their housing association house in Southampton.

The housing association house is fitted with an electric key meter. The meter had been reported to the housing association as being faulty and considered unsafe by the couple. The meter was said to be making odd noises and therefore the couple did not want to touch it to charge it up. The housing association came out and looked at the meter and said it was safe but the couple said they hadn’t rectified the fault. Shortly after, the meter gave the lady a bolt as she was putting the key in. This gave the lady sudden pains up her arm and the force injured her back.

The lady was already suffering from other medical conditions which were made severely worse following the electric shock. She went to hospital where her injuries were diagnosed. The pains from the electric shock injury lasted a couple of months.

The lady used our free service to fight her electric shock compensation claim on a no win no fee basis.
