Toddler involved in a road traffic accident
A little girl thought to be two or three years old was involved in a traffic accident when she got out of her pushchair and was hit by a van in the road. The girl who was thought to have been with her mum was waiting at a pedestrian crossing in St Mary’s Street Lincoln this week just before the accident happened.
The injuries suffered by the little girl are said to be non life threatening. The lorry driver near the scene, who could see what was happening, was said to have sounded the horn and tried to stop traffic, but was unable to. It was a Ford Transit which hit the toddler as it emerged from the High Street.
The police and ambulance attended the scene and took the toddler to Lincoln County Hospital. This was around 3.20 on Tuesday.
Every year thousands of pedestrian accidents happen where they are hit by a car, lorry, van or motorbike. We can help victims of non fault traffic accidents to claim injury compensation following being hit by a vehicle.
