Uneven ground, missing drain covers and potholes causing slip & trip accidents

Filed under: Slip Trip Accident — admin @ 7:55 am

We are often gathering evidence where there is uneven, unlevel ground, missing drain covers and potholes. These defects often cause a slip, trip or fall accident resulting in an injury, sometimes a very severe injury. This does not always mean a claim for injury compensation can be made though, as it depends on the defect, of which all are assessed individually.

Roads, pavements and car parks are places where many slip, trip and fall accidents happen. It is often the local authority who are responsible for keeping such areas up together. With accidents in car parks, the area could be the responsibility of a supermarket such as Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys or another private company who owns the car park.

Any accident suffered should be reported to the people responsible, and photographic evidence should be obtained to show the defect. Ideally the photos should be taken to show the width, length and depth using a tape measure.

The injury suffered in the accident would need to have been diagnosed by a doctor in order to make a claim with us.

All injury compensation claims we handle are done so on a no win no fee basis by a specialist personal injury solicitor.
